I bought one of these screens and sawed it into four equal segments to hang in my dining room's two arched doorways on each side to frame the doorways. Unfortunately, one doorway ended up with three of the bamboo strands on each side, the other doorway with only two on each side. It looked fine, but the look was so dramatic with the doorway that had three strands on each side that I just had to order another of these bamboo screens to cut in order to have three strands on each side of that second doorway as well! The leftover segments from the previous screen and the second screen bought are easily pieced together to frame my open galley kitchen. Talk about an awesome look! Don't let the price hold you back from using your own creativity with these bamboo screens. They are extremely high quality and easy to adjust to fit your decorating plan. Although the strands were initially too long for my doorways, they are knotted throughout to allow for cutting to enable a custom length. The cut ends make amazing additions glued to picture frames and shelving, etc to add to the room's decor.
