Blue Cheese Crisps

 

1 stick butter (room temp.)
4-oz. crumbled blue cheese
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 baguette sliced crostini style

Place the bread slices on a cookie sheet and toast in a 350° F oven until lightly brown (about 3-5 minutes). In the meantime, mix with fork the butter and the blue cheese. Add in pecans. Take out the bread slices and turn over. Spread cheese mix on each side. Place back in the oven and bake until bubbly and hot. At this point you can freeze these and take out to bake when you need them!

These pair well on a serving dish with either fresh grapes or sliced pears. These are also great with tomato soup.
