"My grandmother passed them to my mother, and then my mother
passed it to me. These cookies are always a hit at family Christmas.
These cookies are my older brother's favorite!"

1 c. real butter (not margarine)
4 Tbsp. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1 c. chopped nuts
Cream butter and sugar, beat until light. Add vanilla then add in sifted flour. Mix well. Fold in chopped nuts. Shape into small balls, and then place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° F for 15-18 minutes. Roll in powder sugar while still warm.

  • Polish Wedding Cookies

  • These have the same ingredients exactly, as Polish Wedding Cookies, but with different amounts of the same exact ingredients...all cookies with these ingredients immediately disappear, no matter what they are called. Thanks for posting this!

  • Thank You

  • My mother made these when I was a child, but I had forgotten about them. Your recipe brought back great memories. I am certainly going to print your recipe and make these.

  • Great Find

  • Thank you for the recipe. I loved these as a child and have always just winged it when making them. I could never get anyone to tell me how long or what degree to bake them at; so now I have it. Merry Christmas
