Drop Dumplings

1 1/2-2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. milk

Stir flour, salt and baking powder together. Add to the beaten eggs and milk (You can use more milk if necessary.) Make a soft dough, and drop by teaspoonfuls into boiling chicken or beef broth. Cook 15 minutes.

  • Don't overmix dough

  • Never over mix dumpling dough..this way you keep the dumplings light and fluffy...and never peek when you close the lid over them.

  • I'd definitely make it again

  • My daughter wanted me to make it again, but this time put the dumplings in chicken soup. This recipe reminded me on the recipe my Mom used to make.
