the fact that it is so big you would think that it would put out more heat but it doesn't.

I haven't tried the heater yet,but the imaginary flames and fiery logs do warm the soul. Recommend direct power source from wall outlet. If an extension cord is necessary be sure to use a gauge that matches the demand from the heater.

I love this little stove. I got it in the off white color. It's the perfect size to fit in my non working fireplace. It looks like real flame. The back is mirrored which gives a nice reflective glow and it puts out a decent amount of heat. You can just use the flame with no heat if you wanted to use it in the summer or for decoration. It blew out my fuse when I turned on the microwave. 1600Watts is the same as a hair dryer. Otherwise I'm happy with my purchase.

I just ordered my second one this time in red which by the way only took two days to get here! Awesome service by country door and UPS. I love this fireplace and i have a large kitchen it heats it up so much you actually have to lower the heat! My daughter loved my first one so she stole it for her bedroom. It's not overly sized but don't let that you fool you. I also plan on getting another one for my other daughters bedroom.
