Jonathan's Big Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 sticks butter, softened
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1/2 c. semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. milk chocolate chips
1/2 c. white chocolate chips
1 c. toasted walnuts

Preheat oven to 350° F. Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Cream butter and both sugars. Add vanilla and egg. Mix and add flour and mix until stiff. Fold in chips and nuts. Use an ice cream scoop and drop onto cookie sheet 2" apart. Slightly flatten with back of spoon. Bake 20 minutes.

Makes 27—4" cookies.

  • These are very dense--you might want to eat them with hot tea or milk.
