This recipe is extra-easy, making it ideal for camping trips!
1 box of pizza crust mix
1 small jar of pasta sauce
4 c. (16-oz.) bag of grated mozzarella cheese
Your favorite pizza toppings
Cast Iron Pizza Pan
Mix pizza crust according to directions on the box; place dough onto cast iron pizza pan and spread it out to about 1/8" thick, keeping the thickness uniform. Do not create thin spots/holes. Ladle on some pasta sauce and spread it around just to coat the surface. Sprinkle grated mozzarella onto the sauce then add your favorite toppings; finish off with more grated cheese.
Start a charcoal fire, setting the grill rack 3-4 inches above the coals. When the fire is medium hot, put the cast iron pan on the grate but not directly over the hot coals. Using tongs, rotate the pan frequently to avoid hot spots; check crust bottom periodically to make sure it's not burning. Pizza is done when the top is bubbly and the cheese is melted (about 8-10 minutes). Slice and serve.
