Quilt Care

  • Treat your handcrafted and heirloom quilts with loving care, and they'll remain vibrant and beautiful for years to come.
  • Never display your quilt in direct sunlight.
  • When storing your quilt, do not fold. Place clean tissue paper over the quilt and gently roll it into a bundle. This way you can avoid facing and wear on the folded edges.
  • Cedar-lined chests make the ideal storage place for your most prized quilts.

  • Use Caution

  • In general, this is good advice, however some caution is needed. You should make sure the tissue paper is acid free. If you store them in a cedar chest, don't let them touch the cedar directly or the oils from the cedar will cause stains.
