Room Recolor: Watch rooms from our fall catalog transform with paint

The Country Door Team loves discovering fresh ideas to transform your rooms – And what simpler way to do that than with a new paint color? We took five of our new fall catalog spreads and gave them a completely different look simply by switching the color of the walls in each shot.

If you’re on a computer, click the yellow button on each image and slide left or right to see both colors of the room.If you’re on a mobile phone or tablet, just use your finger the same way and slide the bar left and right to see the full images.

Let us know which color rooms you prefer in the comments!

  1. I like the idea of switching room paints. It allows for more creativity with each room design.

    1. Glad you enjoyed the idea, Cha! Thanks for commenting!

  2. Definitely the blues, turquoise, grays, beiges.

    1. Thanks for commenting, Karen!

  3. Loved it!

  4. What color is the teal wall from page 17… Love it!

    1. Hi Teresa,
It’s Benjamin Moore 686 – Crisp Romaine. As a note, our lighting sometimes can affect the color, so it may not be an exact match. Thanks for reaching out!

      1. I would like to no if my credit was approved .

        1. Hi Teresa,
Please reach out to mydoor@countrydoor.com – Someone will be able to assist.
          Thanks!

  5. What a great idea, what a difference a color change can make. I adored the fact that you could drag the colors and even make the color appear on one wall and not the other.
I am a huge fan of the deep fall colors you used, even the purple! I enjoyed this color change page immensely.

  6. Definitely the new darker colors the blues grays plums and the fall colors too very nice

  7. Really love the blues and grays….they look warmer and more inviting, you could live with those colors for a bit

  8. Love the Orange with the Kaiya Quilt. What is the wall color called and who makes it. Really getting inspired for our Masterbedroom remodel

    1. Hi Melissa,
We actually were able to use some of our design experts’ tricks and change the color through a program instead of having to repaint the wall, so we don’t have an actual paint color on file for it. In looking online, results that appear to looks similar to our wall color came up with a “terra cotta paint” search. Redoing a room can be so much fun – Good luck and feel free to reach out to us with any other questions 🙂

  9. What is the brand of paint and color name on the walls on page 73 of your fall catalog 2016. It is stunning.

      1. CD – were you able to find out the name of the “green” color on page 73 of the Fall catalog? I too would like to know!
P.S. This is a great idea – test driving two colors on a room with a slider!

        1. Hi Pam,
Unfortunately, the color was altered to green using our photo technology – The purple color in the printed catalog is Benjamin Moore 2073-10 (Dark Purple).
A similar looking color to the green/yellow wall might match “Lime Green 209-5” by Pittsburgh Paints, but we cannot say for sure since we didn’t use paint to get to that color.
Hope that helps – We’re glad you enjoyed the post 🙂

  10. Wow! Switching colors was alot of fun! Wish I could do that with my own pictures of my house! Maybe you’d consider letting us who love your page, input our own pics to change colors? If you do, let me know! GREAT JOB COUNTRY DOOR!

  13. wondering if accent walls are in now adays?

    1. Hi Susan,
There are a couple of schools of thought on accent walls – Some feel the trend is going to be around forever while others think it’s still a fad. There are pros and cons to accent walls (for example they can make tight quarters feel larger but it can sometimes make a room feel like two separate spaces) but we feel personal preference certainly plays a role in deciding whether or not you want accent walls in your home. Hope that helps!

  14. Really enjoyed being able to see the neat way of instantly comparing the color changes. I am new to this company but am enjoying it….spending hours trying to make a buying decision….but that is OK.

    1. Great things take time 🙂 Glad you enjoyed the post – Let us know if we can be of any help!

  21. Wow ! Love this and you can feel the mood of the room change . We are the process of painting and this I just got unstuck on what to do with my bedroom . Thanks

  22. What is the gray color on page 61 of the fall catalog?

    1. Hi Denise,
The color is Benjamin Moore 1601 Hearthstone. Thanks!

  23. That was fun!! I want to know the kaki color in the rust and teal picture. Just the color is was looking for my dinning room.

    1. Hi Sheila,
That color was created using software tricks by our designers – However, it looks like Benjamin Moore’s Honey Harbor or Crisp Khaki would be similar!

  24. since your lighting affects the paint colors in your catalog..readers can always do what I do and take the picture to the local paint store and ask them to match it. Usually works well for me.

  25. The first 3 rooms I liked with the paint color on the left; the last 2 looked better to me, with the room paint on the right. These choices for me, seemed to brighten up the room and make the room come alive. Yet they didn’t seem like the room would become darker at night with that paint choice.
