Product Details

Cast iron is a time-honored favorite of home cooks and professional chefs, and for good reason: it heats evenly, goes from stovetop to oven, is incredibly durable, and won't warp over time. It's great for cooking over an open fire, and handing down to the next-in-line, too. We've done the pre-seasoning work for you, so you can get cooking up your most savory meals yet without fuss or bother. Set includes a 3-qt., 10 1/2" frying pan with lid; 5-qt. Dutch oven with lid; and 9 1/4" sq. grill pan with ridged bottom. Lids have stainless steel knobs. Hand wash.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not great cookware I've used the skillet several times and the first time I washed it, it became rusted and still rusted till this day. Have tried soaking it in water with soap but that does not work. I was expecting something better. I do not like it. Can I return it?

Question & Answer

Just bought the Cast Iron Chicken Fryer with lid yesterday, and I followed the directions exactly to season it, but now it is very sticky feeling and I'm not sure what to do with it! Anyone else experience this?

Asked by: Sherry C.
Give it a good scrubbing in hot soapy water to remove the sticky residue, dry it completely, heat it on stove top burner until it is hot, turn off the heat, I use lard or bacon grease to season mine, after seasoning wipe out as much of the seasoning as you can, let it cool then wipe it again to get out the rest of the seasoning that is sitting on pan, believe me there will be some. Fry bacon in the pan, also helps in the seasoning process, I never have to put mine in oven to season. I can fry an egg in mine and they never stick,. I do all my seasoning on stove top burners. Good luck.
