but when I received it...it has to be hard wired..!!...has a cap you have to put in wherever u have a light in ceiling...do not know why it says u do not need electrician/?? thx

It says the product has changed . How has it changed and why only one star rating?

The product measurements were originally reported incorrectly and therefore, the information was updated to show the lamp is 12" Diameter x 28" High. The item has had one review from a customer who thought the item had to be hard wired. It does not need to be hard wired, however, does need to be plugged in. We hope this information is helpful.
