Disappointed
My elderly father bought 3 of these for gifts. After taking it out of the box, it was a tiny little cake with frosting as hard as a rock. Such a shame that he paid that much for these cakes. He could have bought 10 good cakes for the price of these 3 at the grocery store.

My opion on the Lemon cake
This item could not be sliced properly because the icing was too hard. Although the inner cake was ok, I did not enjoy.

Delicious and beautiful
The cake was beautiful and delicious. I couldn't imagine sending a petty cake in the mail. One suggestion: make the knife-in-hot-water directions more prominent and maybe in red print. I missed it at first and butchered the first pieces.

Looked Great, but...
For the first time ever, we were disappointed with a Swiss Colony purchase. The frosting was so thick and hard, it couldn't be cut. When trying, it broke into several large chunks, too hard to eat. We did manage to salvage most of the actual cake, but it was too sweet. Everyone ended up tossing out most of their portion. I ordered it for Easter, but it arrived quite early, probably the cause of the hardness / staleness.

Cakes can be frozen for up to 1 month. You can also choose to have the Easter Lemon Cake shipped closer to Easter if you would like. We hope this information is helpful.
