I already knew what to expect when I ordered this item, I have the little cupboard as well. It is not really very sturdy, but it holds a small loaf of bread, the toaster fits under it nicely. I have a very small counter space so helps make space. The panels with the chickens are cardboard with a print, but visitors can't tell if they don't get really nosey.
