Not what we expected
I bought this in January and here it is April and it just stopped making ice, and we used spring water in it. The motor was not good. So maybe I got the lemon, or it got damaged in shipping, I don't know but I'm still paying for it that's the worst part.

After about 5 months . . .
When I first bought this unit I really loved it. I used it a lot, I loved the clear water tank and the fact that I could easily clean it. After about a month SI started seeing black and blue specks in the bottom of the reservoir. So I ran some water and vinegar through it to clean it thoroughly. I only used filtered water so I knew that the specks were not from my water. I thought that would fix the issue, but the problem keeps occurring. I'm starting to get tired of cleaning the unit and the issue keeps happening. I no longer recommend this product. I still like how the tank and water reservoir makes it easy to see specks like this, but if you're gonna build an icemaker I would think you would build it to prevent things like this.

Very good ice maker.
When ice starts to thaw, the tray where the ice sits there are holes in it. When it drains it leaks, so I have to catch the ice and move it to the freezer right away.

Lasted over a year
Loved this ice maker. I use a lot of ice & this machine kept up! I wish it had lasted longer but I'm happy I got over a year out of it. I'm sure it would have lasted longer if I hadn't maxed it out on a daily bases. I would & have recommended it to many people.
