How do you wash these in the machine with the light? Does it unattach for washing?

Since the LED lamp is built-in, you can't take it off. It's safe to wash with it. Orange and Camo hats are polyester/spandex with polyester lining; hand wash. All other colors are polyacrylonitrile; machine wash.
