Make this Mother’s Day unforgettable. Give Mom a beautiful front door makeover she’ll cherish for years. These DIYs are easy enough for children, elegant enough for Mom.

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT

[Robin] The weekend’s almost here. I’m Robin with Front Door Friday. Of all the jobs I’ve had, none are more precious or important than being a mother. I love being a mom and I appreciate moms everywhere. Why not surprise a special mom in your life with a front door makeover?

Have you ever thought about celebrating Mother’s Day with a front door makeover? Today’s episode has some beautiful DIYs you can personalize for any mom. Get the children involved. It’s a great way to teach crafting skills and spend quality time.

Erin with Country Door is going to be helping me today. Erin, have you ever decorated a front door for Mother’s Day?

[Erin] No. I haven’t. But I’m excited to see what you have planned. What are we doing with these letters?

I’m glad you asked. I’ll give you a sneak peek of what it’ll look like when it’s done. Here we go. Beautiful flowers. We start with a cardboard letter. Paint it out to coordinate with the flowers that we’re using. Then we puncture the holes. Remove the stem off of the flowers so you’re left with just a little bit of a stem and then insert into the holes. If you want to make it really stable, just apply a little bit of hot glue, pop it into the holes, and you’re good to go.

There’s several ways you can do this. You can arrange the flowers by color, or in my case, I’m just randomly putting them in. And it’s easy as that.

[Erin] Beautiful. [Robin] Thank you.

Any mom would love to come home to this front door. Make this Mother’s Day unforgettable.

That’s it for this week’s Front Door Friday. I encourage you to step out and try some front door decorating this weekend. To learn more, check out the Country Door blog. And I’ll see you next Friday. Happy decorating and God bless.
