Harvest Front Door Decorating [Video]

INTRO:
The weekend’s almost here. I’m Robin with Front Door Friday. Are you ready for fall decorating, but you don’t know where to start? How about the front door?

We’re going to makeover this front door with a few quick and easy steps. Hanging garland can be tricky. Command hooks are great. Floral wire secures the garland to the hooks or poles. Natural elements are important. You can find straw bales and corn stocks at most garden centers. Decorative pumpkins and gourds will show up everywhere, even at grocery stores.

Let’s talk design. An easy way to lay things out is to picture a shape around your door. This will help you place things symmetrically. I’m thinking a rectangle today. Old beat up furniture makes great props. So, go shopping in your attic or garage. Whenever there’s room I love to add a chair to the design. It adds a welcoming touch. Stack, stack, stack. Crates, barrels, and boxes add height. Throwing in seasonal blooms is just the pop of color you need.
