Fall Front Door Decorating [Video]

The weekend’s almost here. I’m Robin with Front Door Friday. Fall is here. School’s back. You probably have a million things to do.

Who has time to decorate? Believe it or not, you do. We are going to decorate a door to celebrate the season. Use a wreath to create a central focus for your door.

Using large objects, like this straw bale, gives you depth and a platform for decorations, remember, placing larger objects on the hinge side of the door to avoid blocking the entrance.

Garland is beautiful along the railing. Zip ties can hold it in place. Don’t get too carried away. Keep the rail clear enough for people to use. Here’s a designer tip. Think symmetrical. We’re going to be using a shape to lay out the decor.

I’m using a triangle for this door because it’s centered and in a small space. That’s it for this week’s Front Door Friday. I encourage you to step out and try front door decorating this weekend.

I love all the things you guys have.

    1. Hello Cynthia,
New smaller spaces can pose challenges, what is most important is that you surround yourself with things that make you happy, small touches of country decor mixed with more modern apartment fixtures are very popular right now. They can really warm up colder spaces. Happy Decorating!
