Rustic Americana Decorating [Video]

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT

INTRO:
– [Robin] The weekend’s almost here.
I’m Robin with Front Door Friday.
Let’s give Americana decorating a rustic,
farmhouse twist.

Make patriotic decorating match your style.
It’s more than just red, white, and blue.

So often, we only use lights at Christmastime.
Use them to add sparkle and shine all year long.
If plain white lights aren’t your thing,
there are plenty of novelty lights
like these galvanized metal stars.

Galvanized isn’t the only farmhouse metal.
White enamel is classic and timeless, like these planters.
Layering doormats is fun and trendy.
Leave the larger mat and change out the
smaller mat for holidays,
special occasions, or just because.

DIY: PATRIOTIC GRAPEVINE WREATH
Today I’m here with Erin from Country Door.
Welcome, Erin.

– [Erin] Hi, Robin. I’m excited to be here.
What are we doing with these?

– [Robin] We are going to be making a patriotic
grapevine wreath for your front door that
you can keep up all summer long.

First, you want to take my favorite – a zip tie –
then you’ll take the end and wrap the zip tie around it.
Lay it on here and then we’re going to
take some floral wire. We’ll run it through the zip tie
and then run it through the grapevine.

– [Erin] I love it.
So how does this star…

– [Robin] Attach?

– [Erin] Attach.

– [Robin] I’m glad you asked.
Find out where you want it positioned,
grab a couple wires here and there,
and it will be good to go.
It’s as easy as that.

– [Erin] I love it.

– [Robin] It will be great for all summer.
