Wreath Hangers [Video]
VIDEO TRANSCRIPT
The weekend’s almost here. I’m Robin with Front Door Friday. A wreath is the quickest, easiest way to decorate your front door. But how do you hang it without damaging your door? Are there tricks to making your wreath hanger look better? There are a lot of products on the marketplace to choose from. So let’s talk about a few.
Why stop at just a plain hanger? Decorate the hanger to match your wreath using ribbon, buttons, or even broken jewelry.
Command hooks, what did we do before Command hooks? Just peel off the back, stick it and hang it wherever needed. The adhesive on the back of these hooks is strong enough for several pounds of weight. Be sure to check the weight recommendations since they come in several sizes.
Okay, you’re going to love this next hanger. It’s a magnet, there are a couple of types. If you have a metal door you can use the standard magnet hanger. It’s very strong and obviously requires no difficult installation. Double hook hangers let you add a wreath to both sides of the door and eliminate the unsightly hook showing on one side or the other.
A double magnet is great for doors with windows. You can also use it to hang wreaths on sidelights or windows around the house. A classic over-the-door hanger is sold in just about any hardware or decorating store. Look for a hook with an adjustable width to fit over your door perfectly. The newer hangers also have adjustable heights for more options.
This hanger is great for standard wreaths.
That’s it for this week’s Front Door Friday. I encourage you to step out and try some front door decorating this weekend. To learn more, check out the Country Door blog. And I’ll see you next Friday. Happy decorating and God bless.
